Once again, it's been way too long since I've posted anything here! I need to get batter at it ... seriously! Spend more time now on Facebook ... but doesn't seem like the place to "rant" or get controversial ... maybe I'll save that for here. Facebook has been fun, for reconnecting with folks I went to High School with, so I guess that makes it worthwhile!

Good News?
The Economy Grew 5.7 Percent in the 4th Quarter, Fastest Pace Since 2003. So depending on what side of the fence you're on, this is either good news ... or bad news?

Oh no you di'int!
One of the most unbelievable things I've seen ... the President being heckled by Rep. Joe "The Heckler" Wilson, who, by the way, happens to be a Republican. Wilson's outburst of "You lie!" came after the President said extending health care to all Americans who seek it would not mean insuring illegal immigrants.
Sorry, Mr. Wilson ... you're disrespectful, a perfect example of what's wrong in politics and the Republican party, and you put the exclamation point on exactly what the President said! But, you are also WRONG!
H.R. 3200 includes a provision that specifically says that there will be no federal funds spent to cover illegal immigrants:
H.R. 3200: Sec 246 — NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS
Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.
So, YOU are the liar for saying otherwise!
At least on good thing has come from this ... Wilson's opponent for the 2010 mid-term election, Rob Miller, has raised almost $115,000 (as of this posting) in campaign contributions since last night's speech!

The "Birthers" ....
are Morons (sorry if I offended any morons).
The 14th Amendment says ...
"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."
Also, "the distinction between "legal" and "illegal" immigrants was not clear at the time of the decision of Wong Kim Ark. Neither in that decision nor in any subsequent case has the Supreme Court explicitly ruled on whether children born in the United States to illegal immigrant parents are entitled to birthright citizenship via the amendment, although that has generally been assumed to be the case."
So there goes the argument about only parent being a US citizen! Children born in the US to illegal immigrants, are US citizens.
Just ask any 5th Grader ... they probably could have told you that!
Then we have the Birth Certificate .... ooops, the Certificate of Live Birth.
Read this elsewhere, and it's very true ... "I cannot mess with them, because they are morons. I will explain myself, bother them with logic and facts and reason. And they will turn their backs."
