Journalists Injured in Iraq

We hear about it all the time - soldiers, journalists, or civilians killed or injured in Iraq - but unless they are your loved ones, it never really hits home.

A couple weeks ago, a local soldier was killed in the downing of a chopper. I know his dad, but never met his son.

This morning, we heard the news about ABC Anchor Bob Woodruff and his cameraman Doug Vogt being seriously injured by an "IED" - improvised explosive device - a fancy name for a "roadside bomb". The last report was both are now out of surgery and in stable condition, and probably headed to a military hospital in Germany tonight.

Don't personally know anyone who has been in Iraq ... but seeing Bob on the News each night, makes you feel like you kind of know him personally ... and it's made this whole mess finally "hit home".

Our thoughts are with Bob, Doug, and their families.
