Disasters ... pretend and real!

Spent a nice day yesterday, up in Tarpon Springs ... a Greek town north of St. Petersburg. Went up with a friend and her niece, and had more than a few laughs along the way!

After we got back to town, went to go see "War Of The Worlds". It was a very intense film and kept your attention just so you wouldn't miss anything. It was also very entertaining ... probably good for the whole family - except the really young.

Currently riding out, what little effects we're getting from Hurricane Dennis. So far, other than a few bands of heavy rain and some winds, it's not too bad ... at least here. I wouldn't want to be up in North Florida where it's headed. Best of luck to those folks ... since many are still picking up the pieces from Hurricane Ivan last year ... like many to the south of us, who are still picking up after Hurricane Charley.

Glad to hear that you had a good time out and about.
The movie has taught me one good lesson in life. It is that we need to hold those that matter close to us. We need to realize that we could lose those around us very easily and that things that are hidden can only be bad once discovered.
I also send my thoughts and prayers to those suffering through the tough times right now.
